ItHasBeenAwhile

I finally made it to my blog again (passwordrelated). I also have been busy with too many different self obliged tasks, of which one is finding a real job. It looks like I will have to create one myself.

This is not an easy task to fullfil, while one of my very little developed qualities is 'commercialism'. By this I mean that my prime aim is to provide service to anyone regardless any pricing, although I try to do this in a budgetary neutral way. One advantage of this is that the experience frequency is much higher than would be when I ask money for it in advance. It has a counterpart as well, which is that it takes a lot of time...

But now it seems that this kind of attitude will finally 'pay' off: someone offered me a job, although, to be more precise: someone showed very much interest in my pluripotent work force, while at the same time not having enough structural funds to run the risk immediately!

Now, one might ask, how is this possible, and what was I doing there in my cost neutral fashion anyway, which already should have led to added value on location after all?
The answer is simple and revealing: my energy proved to be somehow cost-reductive, while at the same time the budget of this cooperation still falls short to provide for earnings someway or the other. So it helped, but it was in many respects incidental work, which cannot be extrapolated to a real job. Call it maintenance if you like.
This maintenance improves production possibilities, but the product should also be of commercial interest to third parties which should be willing or able to pay as well. This is the final barrier to break through will a job be structural.
